Packaging graphic design

Artwork that survives the journey from screen to shelf.

Build a label and carton system that feels distinctive, prints cleanly, and makes required information easy to understand.

Useful by design

The details that turn uncertainty into a decision.

Cosmetic packaging design is both creative and technical. The strongest systems balance recognizable brand assets with hierarchy, legibility, material behavior, and production constraints.

Packaging and design studio

Our design team

Designers who understand print, materials, and beauty packaging.

Packaging artwork has to do more than look polished on a screen. It must respect dielines, print limits, material behavior, required copy, and the way a complete collection reads together on shelf.

  • Print-ready file preparation and technical review
  • Packaging hierarchy, legibility, and collection consistency
  • Material-aware guidance for labels, cartons, and direct decoration

Your components

What is standard—and what can be added.

Choose a decoration route that matches your component, order volume, visual direction, and production plan.

Standard route

Labels

A flexible choice for most private-label projects, with finish upgrades available when the selected component and quantity support them.

  • High-gloss label systems
  • Matte and specialty finish options
  • Clear and metallic directions where compatible
Production-ready and scalable
Add-on

Boxes & Cartons

Create a stronger unboxing and retail presentation with a dedicated carton designed around the finished component.

  • Full-color print
  • Matte or gloss laminate
  • Premium finish directions by quote
Quoted by size, finish, and quantity
Premium decoration

Silk Screening

Print directly on the component for a clean, integrated finish when artwork, colors, and production quantity are appropriate.

  • Direct-to-component decoration
  • Simple, high-contrast artwork
  • Pantone color planning
Best for simplified premium artwork

Choose your design path

Three levels of creative support.

Start with the path that best reflects the artwork and resources your brand already has.

01

Full service design

Let our design team build the artwork system with you.

A structured questionnaire defines brand direction, audience, visual references, and packaging needs before concepts are presented for review and refinement.

Labels

A complete label system for the selected collection.

Artwork is developed around the approved component, required copy, print method, and the visual rhythm of the complete product line.

Boxes & Cartons

Secondary packaging that extends the brand system.

Carton artwork is built around the actual dieline, fold structure, regulatory copy, finish, and relationship to the primary component.

Core setup
  • Full-color print
  • Bleed and fold control
  • Matte or gloss laminate
Premium directions
  • Foil accents
  • Spot gloss / UV concepts
  • Heavier board by quote
Silk Screening

Direct decoration for a clean, integrated finish.

Artwork is simplified and prepared for direct printing, with color choices and line detail reviewed against the limitations of the selected component.

Additional design time

When a project moves beyond its agreed revision scope, extra creative or production-prep time is confirmed before additional work begins.

02

Design support

Turn an existing concept into production-ready artwork.

A Canva layout, AI-assisted concept, or agency mockup may look finished but still need technical rebuilding. We adapt viable artwork to the actual production dieline and press requirements without turning the project into a new brand-design engagement.

What production support can cover

  • Dieline adaptation and layout cleanup
  • RGB-to-CMYK conversion
  • Bleed, resolution, and safe-area correction
  • Font and linked-file preparation
  • Final preflight and production export
Minimal packaging design concept
Good to know

Screen-ready artwork and print-ready artwork are not the same deliverable. Color mode, resolution, bleed, fonts, and line detail all matter once a design moves to production.

03

Templates

Create the artwork with your own designer.

Production templates are intended for designers who are comfortable with professional print setup, vector artwork, dielines, and packaging-specific file preparation.

Labels

Label file checklist

  • Vector source file and proof PDF
  • Outlined or packaged fonts
  • Embedded images at production resolution
  • CMYK color setup
  • Bleed and safe-zone compliance
  • Vector barcode artwork where required
Cartons

Carton file checklist

  • Dieline maintained on its own locked layer
  • Cut, fold, glue, and quiet areas respected
  • All required product and regulatory copy placed
  • Images embedded and fonts prepared
  • CMYK production setup
  • Proof PDF supplied with source artwork
Silk screen

Direct-print checklist

  • Vector artwork only
  • Pantone references supplied
  • Simple separations and limited color count
  • No raster gradients or fragile fine detail
  • Artwork sized to the printable component area
  • Technical review before production approval

Design guidance

Small production decisions make a visible difference.

Use these principles while concepts are still flexible—not after the design has already been locked.

01

Readability & hierarchy

  • Keep critical copy comfortably readable at final size.
  • Limit type styles so the information hierarchy stays clear.
  • Use white space to separate brand, product, and required information.
  • Check contrast on the real label material, not only on-screen.
02

Color & backgrounds

  • Build production artwork in CMYK from the beginning.
  • Expect screen color and printed color to differ.
  • Avoid fragile gradients when the print method cannot reproduce them consistently.
  • Plan metallic, clear, or tinted substrates as part of the color system.

Other things to know

Policies, approvals, and production timing.

01

Design timeline

Keep feedback moving within the agreed project window so artwork can be finalized before production scheduling is affected.

02

Color matching

Exact color matching can require a different decoration route, quantity, or lead time. Confirm color-critical requirements before artwork is approved.

03

Proof sign-off

The final proof is the production reference. Review spelling, claims, quantities, colors, and component details carefully before approval.

04

Regulatory copy

Brand owners remain responsible for the accuracy of claims and market-specific label content. Resolve compliance questions before final production files are released.

05

Custom fonts

Provide properly licensed font files or a licensing source when a custom typeface is essential to the approved identity system.

Use outlined fonts, embedded artwork, CMYK color, and the approved production dieline.
